I already have a domain. How do I migrate it so Linkfans can host it?

In Linkfans, domain migration mainly means pointing your domain’s nameservers to Linkfans so we can manage DNS for you.
Step 1: Open the Setup Guide in Linkfans
Follow these steps to open the Custom Domain Setup Guide popup.
-
Go to Own Domain
- Open your dashboard and navigate to Own Domain.

-
Click Import Own Domain
- Click the + Import Own Domain button to start adding a domain.

-
Add your domain to trigger the Setup Guide
-
Enter your domain (or subdomain) and click Add.

-
You’ll then see the Custom Domain Setup Guide popup with the nameservers you need.

-
Step 2: Update nameservers using the Setup Guide
-
Log in to your DNS provider
- For example Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, IONOS, etc.
- If you followed our recommended flow, this will usually be Cloudflare.
-
Open the nameserver settings
- Go to your domain settings and find the Nameserver section (sometimes under “DNS” or “Domain” settings).
- If DNSSEC is enabled, turn it off temporarily as the guide suggests.
-
Replace your current nameservers with Linkfans nameservers
- Use the two values shown in the Linkfans Setup Guide, for example:
ns1.linkfans.ains2.linkfans.ai
- Save the changes in your DNS provider.
- Use the two values shown in the Linkfans Setup Guide, for example:
-
Confirm the change in Linkfans
- Go back to the Setup Guide popup and click “I’ve Updated Nameservers”.
- Linkfans will periodically check your domain until the new nameservers are active.
-
Wait for DNS propagation
- Registrars can take up to 3–24 hours to fully process and propagate nameserver changes (often faster).
- Once verification is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation and can start assigning this domain to your pages.
