What does “migrating your domain” mean?
Updated 14 hours ago
Domain migration usually means changing where your domain is hosted or managed—for example:
- Moving from one DNS provider to another (e.g. from registrar DNS → Cloudflare → Linkfans).
- Updating nameservers so Linkfans becomes the authoritative DNS for that domain.
During migration, DNS changes may take 3–24 hours to fully propagate. During that window, some users may see the old destination and others see the new one, which is normal while caches update.
